We enjoyed a Saturday afternoon hanging out at Starbucks
with other puppies. My big sis, Katie got a little nervous when
another dog tried to sniff me. She is so loving and protective of me.

The Chronicles of Duffy - Super Bowl & A Surprise!
My newly adopted parents had a
small intimate Super Bowl party for the family. Katie let me wear her
Mickey Mouse ears while I watched the game. I have a wonderful family
that I love so much! Dad liked the commercials, Mom liked the game and
Katie slept. I, like Mom, wanted Green Bay to win and they did!
A few weeks later, we received a new edition to the
family and it a friend for me, although it technically belongs to Dad.
The new edition is Valentine Duffy Bear and he is so handsome. Dad named
him Val Duffington. The first thing I thought was how much fun we are
going to have together. I miss California Adventure and can’t wait for
my next visit.
My must do adventures for 2011 are:
•Visit Disneyland for the first time and get a 1st Visit Button!
•Meeting Mickey Mouse
•Touring Walt’s apartment over the fire station
•Riding the Disneyland Railroad
•Dining at Club 33
•Visiting Flynn’s Arcade
•Staying at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel
•Attending the D23 Expo
•Keeping Katie from chewing on my toes
Let’s see how many I can cross off this year and hope you join me on my adventures.

The Chronicles of Duffy - Adoption Day!
On an unusually warm day in December, I was daydreaming about joining all the kids that were laughing, playing, and making memories at Paradise Bay. When this lady walked in the shop, picked me up and said how cute I was, a man called her and she put me down and walked out of the store. A few minutes later this man came in the store picked me up and we went for a walk, next thing I knew I was in total darkness and could not really breathe.
I was scared until I realized I had been adopted into a loving family that LOVED all things Disney. So my adventures began on this day....my newly adopted parents vowed to introduce me to all their pals and create memories that would last a lifetime.
I was first introduced to Tim and Frank and found that they were the reason Mom left the shop when she was looking at me. Tim and Frank were friends they met on a recent Disney trip and Dad knew Mom would want to see them. Then we dined at Ariel’s Grotto but I had to stay in the bag because Mom was a little over protective of me. After dinner, I was tired so I went back to the hotel room and slept for the night while Mom and Dad enjoyed the World of Color and the Parks.
We stayed in California for the next two days then we went home to Arizona. When I arrived at my new home I found there was a furry friend to greet me and she had 4 legs and was named Kate.

The Happiest Blog On Earth - Christmas 2010
Well, Christmas 2010 has come
and departed, rather quickly I might add! Of course, the 2010 Holiday
Season has not been without it’s unfair share of trials and tribulations
for Joyce and me. In fact, then entirety of 2010 has been, shall I say,
wrought with mettle testing episodes that nearly brought us to our
proverbial knees more than once!
We entered into the Christmas week with me sick, like
I’ve not been in many a year. Oh, and lest we forget the podcast feed
issue that we’ve FINALLY corrected?! That was one to REALLY humble me! I
thought myself a computer whiz, but found out I am a computer
cheese-whiz! (Check out episode 12 of Tales From The Mouse House Podcast
for details). But, Joyce and I awoke on Christmas morn to an excited
puppy (yep, she actually got excited to see her presents under the
tree!), distributed to each other our gifts and had a wonderful day! A
yummy ham dinner, then enjoying our beautiful Christmas Tree sans room
lights topped off a perfect day spent in each other’s company. Alone.
Just the three of us (Kate our puppy). The way we like it!
As we head into the home
stretch of 2010, I reflect upon the hardships not only we faced, but
many of our friends and family faced as well, and I can’t help but pray
to God that 2011 is better. So, from me, Joyce, Kate and Tales From The
Mouse House Podcast, have a Happy, Safe, Blesses and Prosperous New
Year! - Al
